Hi friends. I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted.
Check out this post here to learn why.
Normally when I post on the blog’s IG page, the post also appears on the blog’s FB page. This time, however, it somehow posted to my personal FB page where all my friends and family could see it.
I didn’t realize this until I started getting a slew of texts messages and phone calls. I contemplated taking it down. Then 3 different individuals reached out to me and let me know that they too experienced a violation of trust and consent.
So … it’s still up. I added a little note explaining that the post wasn’t intentional but it seems that this was somehow meant to be.
After a conversation with a sweet friend, I’ve decided to rebrand and turn faithfullyresilient into a safe space for survivors and a place of education for allies. I will still create Christ centered content but I’m realizing that so many women (and men) need to see other survivors.
At this time the blog is focusing on women. I hope some of the things I share help the men out there but I cannot speak on a man’s experience with assault. Once I find a man who is willing to share, publicly or anonymously, I’ll be sure to let y’all know.
I’ll need some time. I’m still in the process of healing and writing just isn’t something I can dive into at this time. Please pray for me and the other survivors of assault.
I love y’all and thanks for supporting me.
